Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy of MONEI, a fast‑growing fintech that processes millions of payment events across Southern Europe. The CFO will be a hands‑on, data‑driven leader who builds dashboards, pricing models and board‑level reports while supporting rapid international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own long‑range financial planning, operating model and board reporting.
• Define and track core metrics such as take‑rate, contribution margin per merchant, LTV/CAC and payback.
• Lead pricing strategy and unit‑economics analysis together with Product and Commercial teams.
• Run the FP&A cycle: forecasting, variance analysis, cash‑runway management and scenario planning.
• Develop financial models for multi‑entity, multi‑currency expansion and support capital‑adequacy compliance.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal on licensing and safeguarding requirements.
• Coach and grow the internal finance team.

Required profile

• 8+ years in senior finance roles (CFO, VP Finance, Head of FP&A) at high‑growth scale‑ups.
• Strong data fluency with experience in SQL and BI tools.
• Proven track record building financial reporting, pricing and unit‑economics frameworks.
• Strategic operator who can deliver answers quickly.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English (C1+).
