Design Engineer – Brakes System (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our brake systems team in Getafe, Madrid on a temporary basis. You will work with a young, proactive group on cutting‑edge railway projects, contributing to mechanical design and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update mechanical drawings and electrical schematics using 2D/3D tools.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and material lists for projects.
• Develop technical specifications, measurement plans and risk analyses.
• Collaborate with production, CSC and supplier teams to ensure design quality and delivery.
• Perform calculations and simulations to validate designs and comply with Alstom processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in mechanical design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).

Required skills

• Inventor (2D/3D CAD software).
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming or other electronic systems (valued).
