Future Projects Engineering

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Future Projects Engineer to drive the integration of engineering activities that support the Airbus product policy. You will work across strategy, marketing, sales, engineering and technology functions to shape the next generation of aircraft and vehicle concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support analysis of competitor products at aircraft and component levels.
• Define top‑level technical objectives and requirements up to MG3 for new or incremental programmes.
• Manage vehicle design and constituent integration activities up to MG2 for new programmes.
• Perform trade‑off analyses to select optimal system architectures.
• Explore technical, manufacturing and operational aspects of innovative configurations and assess value and cost‑benefit.
• Set component design targets, monitor achievement and challenge CoCs.
• Prioritise and conduct research projects to develop technologies and competencies.
• Develop knowledge on environmental aspects and propose relevant directions.

Required profile

• Professional experience in aerospace or vehicle engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate competitor products.
• Experience in defining technical requirements and managing integration activities.
• Capability to conduct trade‑off studies and cost‑benefit assessments.
• Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity.
