DevOps Engineer – SaaS (Barcelona)

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team at Alpega Group in Barcelona. In this position you will collaborate with software and data engineers to design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers our SaaS transportation platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support across GCP and AWS cloud environments.
• Design, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure, operational workflows and monitoring.
• Maintain and monitor Linux-based systems and services.
• Implement observability, alerting and performance monitoring for critical systems and data pipelines.
• Support data platform components such as Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, Pub/Sub and GoldenGate.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization and platform improvement initiatives while ensuring security and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps or platform engineer.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control (Git, GitHub or Bitbucket).
• Good knowledge of networking, monitoring and observability tools.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Advanced English communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
