Host/Hostess – Luxury Hotel Front‑of‑House

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join the front‑of‑house team at Hotel Arts Barcelona. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience in our luxury dining areas.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and manage the waiting list.
• Seat guests promptly, pull out chairs, and present clean, up‑to‑date menus.
• Guide guests to their tables, assist with special seating requests, and ensure all place settings are complete.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and work stations throughout the shift.
• Monitor dining room flow, safety, and guest wellbeing, reporting any issues to management.
• Adhere to company uniform standards, safety policies, and confidentiality requirements.
• Provide courteous telephone etiquette and support team members to achieve shared goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; willingness to learn hospitality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance and clear, polite communication skills.
