iOS Engineer

About the role

Adevinta is looking for a passionate iOS Engineer to join the Core User Profile team for Kleinanzeigen, Germany’s leading online classifieds platform. Based in our Barcelona Tech Hub, you will help define rating features that build trust between buyers and sellers and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications for the Kleinanzeigen marketplace.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including frontend, backend, product, and UX to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Implement rating and trust features that improve buyer‑seller interactions.
• Ensure code quality through test‑driven development and code reviews.
• Integrate with core platform services and maintain alignment with other product teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong focus on clean, pragmatic code and user‑centric design.
• Ability to work in an agile, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Swift (and preferably Objective‑C).
• iOS fundamentals: UIKit, Grand Central Dispatch (GCD), Automatic Reference Counting (ARC), Delegates.
• Modern UI frameworks: SwiftUI.
• Dependency management: CocoaPods, Carthage, Swift Package Manager.
• Architectural patterns: MVVM, VIPER, Clean Architecture.
• Test‑driven mobile development.
