Analytics Engineer

About the role

Madbox is a fast‑growing mobile gaming studio based in Barcelona. The Data Core Team is looking for an Analytics Engineer to own end‑to‑end data projects, turn player data into actionable insights, and support game performance and business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end data projects, from problem definition through deployment and monitoring.
• Analyse player behaviour to uncover performance, progression, monetisation and engagement drivers.
• Define KPIs with business stakeholders and ensure robust implementation in data models.
• Design and optimise data models and datasets for analytical and business needs.
• Ensure data quality and consistency, validate assumptions and identify data issues.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance data workflows and impact.
• Drive projects autonomously in ambiguous environments and contribute to the data roadmap.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in advanced analytics or data‑focused roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, be proactive and drive initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Team player comfortable collaborating in a fast‑paced, creative environment.
