Mechanical Design Engineer – Aerospace & UAV Systems

About the role

Join a fast‑growing aerospace and defence company developing next‑generation unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. You will design high‑performance mechanical components and subsystems that operate reliably in extreme environments.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings using Siemens NX or similar tools.
• Apply mechanical design principles, GD&T, DFM and DFA to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Perform engineering analysis with FEA/FEM where required.
• Work with PLM systems such as Teamcenter to manage data and documentation.
• Produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier teams.
• Manage multiple design projects in a fast‑paced environment and support the full product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in a precision engineering setting.
• Strong CAD experience, preferably with Siemens NX.
• Understanding of high‑performance or safety‑critical mechanical design.
• Experience with GD&T, DFM, DFA, technical documentation, and FEA/FEM tools.
• Background in aerospace, defence, or military‑spec products is a plus.
