Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the Lezo site of Amcor's Meat & Dairy Business Unit, overseeing the full production chain from pre‑press to warehouse logistics. Reporting to the Plant General Manager, you will drive safety, efficiency and continuous improvement across a team of 127 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑press, production, maintenance, continuous improvement, engineering, CAPEX and indoor warehouse operations.
• Ensure compliance with company and plant policies, aligning activities with plant objectives and customer requirements.
• Lead safety performance initiatives, promote a strong safety culture and achieve plant safety goals.
• Deliver budget targets for production volumes, efficiency, waste reduction and overall cost control.
• Oversee CAPEX planning, implementation and control.
• Support the Plant General Manager in plant leadership and drive excellence across all functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex manufacturing operations in a food‑related environment.
• Strong leadership skills with responsibility for a large, multi‑disciplinary team.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, contractors and corporate functions.
• Focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Budget ownership and experience controlling CAPEX projects.
