PDM Debt Finance Expert

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking a senior professional to lead Private Debt Mobilisation (PDM) activities within the Trade & Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) team. The role focuses on structured trade finance transactions, from origination through underwriting, syndication and final investor sale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global strategy for structured‑trade PDM business.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of transactions such as pre‑payment, pre‑export, inventory, borrowing‑base and reserve‑based financing.
• Structure deals, prepare documentation and design underwriting and syndication approaches.
• Coordinate with senior and junior PDM team members to ensure optimal transaction outcomes.
• Support the Global Head of PDM TWCS on cross‑product projects, new investor bases and origination opportunities.

Required profile

• Executive‑Director level experience in corporate or investment banking.
• Proven track record in structured trade finance and private credit distribution.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and geographies.
