Plant Design & Piping Engineer Trainee

About the role

Join Technip Energies as a Plant Design & Piping Engineer Trainee in Barcelona. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer, gaining hands‑on experience in plant layout and piping design while contributing to projects that support the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of plant layout and piping design, preparing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
• Learn to ensure designs comply with project specifications, international codes and standards.
• Assist in 3D modeling activities using engineering software tools to optimise plant design and space allocation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, civil, electrical) to ensure proper design integration and coordination.
• Help meet project targets such as design quality, schedule adherence, safety and technical accuracy.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a degree or master’s program in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Available to sign an internship agreement with your university.
• Minimum B2 level in spoken and written English and Spanish.
