R&D Associate – Technical Innovation in Leather Goods

About the role

Polène is seeking an R&D Associate to join its technical and innovation team in Ubrique, Spain. You will work on the development of 3D molds, CNC machining, special projects, and recycled‑leather applications, supporting the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and advanced technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing 3D molds and related technical solutions.
• Support activities involving 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting and digital cutting technologies.
• Participate in special projects from concept through implementation, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and propose improvements to tools, workflows and production processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support, monitor basic performance indicators and ensure quality standards.

Required profile

• Technical degree or higher vocational training in mechanical design or a related field.
• Approximately three years of experience in an industrial or technical environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in French or English.
• Curious, hands‑on attitude with a strong interest in innovation, materials and manufacturing.
