Plant Director – Manufacturing Operations Leader

About the role

The Plant Director will lead the day‑to‑day performance of a fully integrated manufacturing site in Valencia, overseeing more than 180 employees. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, this senior leader is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality production that meets both internal standards and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the plant’s P&L, ensuring operational performance aligns with budget expectations and business goals.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and production schedules while coordinating closely with customer supply‑chain teams.
• Guarantee on‑time delivery of products that consistently meet defined quality requirements.
• Champion cost‑optimization, continuous‑improvement initiatives and a strong safety culture.
• Oversee maintenance activities, material‑handling operations and capital‑expenditure plans.
• Drive key operational projects and monitor performance metrics to support long‑term strategic objectives.
• Foster a collaborative, transparent, and positive work environment across all functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering; postgraduate studies in operations or industrial fields are a strong plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience leading operations in food‑production manufacturing settings.
• Proven experience leading major transformations in manufacturing plants.
• Deep knowledge of production processes with a strong orientation toward continuous improvement.
• Proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with the ability to handle conflict constructively.
• Strategic thinker capable of operating effectively in rapidly evolving environments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
