Procurement Representative – French-speaking (Barcelona)

About the role

Ecolab is seeking a French‑speaking Procurement Representative to join its Equipment Manufacturing Procurement Team. Based in Barcelona (with the option to work from Aubagne, France), you will focus on strategic sourcing of direct materials, driving Total Delivered Cost (TDC) initiatives and supporting supplier negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Support and deploy TDC sourcing processes, tools, and methodologies to optimise cost and create value.
• Develop, manage, and execute sourcing and savings projects, including pipeline development, financial validation and performance tracking.
• Identify and implement sourcing strategies for direct‑material suppliers, including tail‑vendor management.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, contracts and long‑term agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery reliability, service level and risk exposure.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing and Sales during new product and machine development.
• Track supplier market trends, assess risks and opportunities, and provide commercial recommendations.
• Coordinate alternative supplier qualification initiatives from a commercial perspective.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives within procurement and support ERP (SAP) deployment activities.
• Work with European and global procurement teams to align strategies and share best practices.
• Investigate and resolve supply risks or disruptions, including force‑majeure situations.

Required profile

• Commercial‑minded procurement professional comfortable in a dynamic, international environment.
• Experience in strategic sourcing rather than daily on‑site operations.
• Interest in long‑term career development and exposure to global procurement initiatives.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) deployment and usage.
