Regional PR Lead, Africa

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Regional PR Lead for Africa to shape and protect its reputation across key anglophone and francophone markets, including Nigeria, Uganda, Tunisia and Côte d'Ivoire. Reporting to the Global Communications Director, you will design and execute PR and social media strategies that position Glovo as a leading tech company and a beloved brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the day‑to‑day PR strategy for the region, identifying opportunities to showcase business milestones.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets and tech KOLs across both language markets.
• Lead crisis communications, acting as the first line of defence for regulatory or media issues.
• Onboard, manage and evaluate external agencies, ensuring delivery of press releases, Q&As and other content within budget.
• Prepare General Managers and regional leaders for media appearances through training.
• Manage Glovo’s social media presence in Africa, especially on LinkedIn and consumer platforms.
• Integrate influencer partnerships into consumer campaigns and track performance with data‑driven metrics.
• Own PR OKRs, budgets and reporting on media coverage, share of voice and sentiment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in public relations or social media, preferably within African markets.
• Native or fluent English; proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to navigate cultural nuances across anglophone and francophone regions.
• Experience handling crisis communications and managing external agencies.
