Retail Manager - Iberia (Spain and Portugal)

About the role

JYSK, the Scandinavian home furnishings retailer, is looking for a Retail Manager to join its Country Management Team for Spain and Portugal. You will take responsibility for retail in a region of 60 stores, with the flexibility to be based in Madrid, Lisbon, Porto, Barcelona or another location, preferably near an international airport in Northern Iberia.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence and a customer-first approach within the region, supporting District Managers and helping them meet budgets and goals.
• Lead a region of 6 to 7 districts, with direct responsibility for the development and support of District Managers and indirect influence over more than 540 people across 60+ stores.
• Keep stores 100% ready for sales and customers by coaching District Managers remotely and on site.
• Help District Managers build plans to reach key figures targets and motivate them.
• Follow up that routines and concepts are executed in all stores.
• Train managers in recruitment, performance management and leadership.

Required profile

• Retail Manager with a proven track record of results.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Retail Manager in a retail company.
• Customer-first mindset, proactive and energetic, with a good sense of detail and flexibility.
• Ability to work independently and to deliver results through teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish and Portuguese at a good level.
• Good at building organisations and growing a substitute bench.
• Master's degree or similar business qualification valued.
• Willingness to travel 3/4 of the time.
