Senior Legal and Compliance Officer – Europe

About the role

Join Panasonic Europe’s Compliance team as a Senior Legal and Compliance Officer. You will support all Panasonic units across the EMEA region, reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer in Brussels, and work from any of the company’s European offices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legal developments across the EU and assess their impact on compliance, especially for sustainability, AI, cybersecurity and other emerging topics.
• Design and define policies, processes, contractual templates and guidance to ensure compliance with sustainability‑related laws, digital regulations and new legislation.
• Provide advice and input to Panasonic entities on sustainability, digital topics and emerging legal risks.
• Guide local entities on legal assessments and responses to inquiries from customers, suppliers, NGOs and governmental authorities.
• Deliver communication, training and awareness programmes on relevant compliance matters.
• Support and conduct compliance investigations as needed.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) in an EU jurisdiction or the United Kingdom with an above‑average degree.
• Legal qualification recognized in the EU/UK is mandatory; a surplus master’s degree alone is insufficient.
• Experience in corporate compliance, sustainability law, digital regulation or related fields.
