Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Systellar’s founding team in Barcelona. You will help build and own key parts of our synapse™ platform, a next‑generation solution that brings hardware development to the speed of software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack features using TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Own end‑to‑end components of synapse™, from concept through production deployment.
• Implement and manage containerised services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot cloud services on AWS or GCP, using infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Collaborate with product, design and customers to deliver data‑dense, AI‑enhanced interfaces.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Full‑stack expertise with TypeScript, React, Node.js and relational databases.
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation, CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Strong fundamentals and ability to reason from first principles.
• Experience building complex, data‑rich interfaces and familiarity with AI‑powered product development.
• Startup mindset, preferably building enterprise or B2B SaaS solutions.
• Clear communicator comfortable engaging with customers.
• Based in Barcelona or surrounding area.
