Trade & Working Capital Solutions Associate

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a Trade & Working Capital Solutions Associate based in the Madrid area. The role combines strategic project execution with deep exposure to trade finance products and processes, supporting the design, delivery and scaling of initiatives that improve client experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end delivery of strategic initiatives across receivables, supply‑chain finance, inventory solutions and documentary trade/guarantees.
• Collaborate with Product, Structuring, Risk, Legal, Operations and Technology teams to develop partnership‑led solutions for corporate clients.
• Contribute to the strategic oversight of partnerships with leading private‑equity firms and other stakeholders in the trade finance space.
• Perform high‑impact financial analysis (profitability, capital, liquidity and risk metrics) to inform capital allocation and senior decision‑making.
• Assist in structuring and executing trade and working capital transactions, including deal analysis, documentation and internal approvals.

Required profile

• Professional experience in strategic project delivery within large organisations.
• Exposure to trade finance products and operational processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
