A/C Production & Functional Test Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Production & Functional Test Engineer to support the A330 MRTT conversion programme in Getafe, Spain. The role combines aircraft assembly/disassembly, system installation and functional testing to ensure successful aircraft conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multifunctional team within the TAOTT4 zone, coordinating production, quality, engineering, planning and control activities.
• Manage shop‑floor managers, electricians, mechanics, testing technicians and subcontractors to meet delivery targets.
• Ensure health & safety, quality, FOD, DIM and housekeeping standards are applied.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, promoting cost and lead‑time reductions.
• Maintain workload‑capacity balance and ensure the right competencies are available.
• Facilitate Voice of the Customer communication and support cultural transformation.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in production, manufacturing engineering or planning & production control.
• Advanced written and spoken Spanish and English.
• Strong conflict‑management and collaborative teamwork skills.
