Account Manager (EU)

About the role

We are looking for a founding Account Manager to build and lead the Account Management function for the EU market. This Day‑0 role will involve designing engagement, retention and growth strategies for self‑service customers and a small portfolio of key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the existing customer base by driving expansion revenue through usage growth, plan upgrades, annual conversions and multi‑location rollouts.
• Run activation rescue for accounts that have purchased but not fully deployed, including WhatsApp Business setup and compliance issues.
• Tailor engagement by country and language, share successful practices and scale them across markets.
• Identify at‑risk behavior early, intervene to prevent cancellations and analyse root causes of churn.
• Log every account interaction from day one and measure impact with data‑driven metrics.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Account Management, Customer Success or Sales with a revenue, expansion or retention focus.
• Managed a portfolio of 50–100 accounts and can prioritize high‑impact customers.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; additional EU languages (German, French, Italian, Portuguese) are a strong plus.
• Based in the EU and able to work CET/CEST hours with some overlap with APAC and MENA teams.
• Understanding of European GDPR, data‑residency expectations and messaging channel adoption.

Required skills

• Data‑driven decision making and ability to operate without a fully defined playbook.
• Experience with WhatsApp Business and other messaging platforms is a strong plus.
