Accounting Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Accounting Assistant to support our Accountant in managing investment portfolios and the day‑to‑day financial operations of our group companies. The role offers exposure to both local and international banking, investment accounting, and regulatory filing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly reconciliations of local and foreign bank and brokerage accounts.
• Handle administrative, procedural, and accounting tasks for group companies.
• Record all credit‑card and petty‑cash transactions and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly cheques or electronic transfers for suppliers, landlords and service providers.
• Enter all transactions into QuickBooks.
• Complete investment schedules and other accounting‑related schedules.
• Reconcile client balances in the accounting system with client statements.
• File statutory documents with the Companies Registry and Ministry of Finance.
• Prepare and file Annual Returns for group and ancillary companies.
• Assist in preparing Management Accounts for Board reporting.
• Support both external and internal audits on an annual basis.
• Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned by the Accountant.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of accounting experience.
• Accounting‑related training progressing toward an ACCA designation.
• Knowledge of investment accounting is an asset.
• Past audit experience is an asset.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
