Accounting & Control Analyst

About the role

Santander Asset Management is seeking an Accounting & Control Analyst to join its Global Finance & Strategy team in Boadilla del Monte. The role focuses on statutory controlling, reporting, budgeting, cost and liquidity analysis, and coordination with internal and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate month‑end accounting for assigned entities, ensuring accurate figures and timely delivery.
• Produce, control and analyse monthly management reports, including accounting, travel and liquidity information.
• Lead the annual budgeting and business‑plan process, monitor variances and support global budget coordination across the SAM Group.
• Prepare statutory accounts and annual impairment tests, liaising with internal teams, external auditors and valuators.
• Collaborate with Third‑Party Risk Management and procurement to ensure compliance with the TPRM model.
• Coordinate liquidity requirements, quarterly consolidation, dividend planning and Board updates for the SAM Group.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Experience with month‑end close, statutory reporting and budgeting processes.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external auditors.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach to risk management.
