Accounts Associate II

About the role

The Accounts Associate II will support a diverse client base within a Business Process Outsourcing environment, ensuring timely and accurate accounting services. This role combines client interaction, financial reporting, and supervision of junior staff to maintain high standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client requests promptly and maintain strong relationships to enhance satisfaction.
• Perform accounting tasks across all client levels, exercising professional scepticism and diligence.
• Attend risk assessment and planning meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Prepare draft budgets and compute taxes such as VAT, Green Fund Levy, Corporation tax, and Business Levy.
• Generate management reports and supporting documentation in line with internal standards.
• Develop working papers and financial statements compliant with IFRS.
• Identify issues, communicate them to the ICA, and propose practical solutions.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and explanations to less‑experienced staff.
• Supervise entry‑level and assistant accountants, ensuring quality of work.
• Apply GT methodologies, tools, and relevant accounting/auditing standards.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing tertiary education or secondary education with at least five O‑levels (including English and Mathematics) or two A‑levels.
• ACCA Level 2 qualification.
• Working knowledge of updated IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, ISAs, and internal accounting procedures.
• 3–4 years of experience in an accounting environment or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Peachtree accounting software.
• Experience using Oracle financial systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
