Acompañante de transporte escolar (retén)

About the role

We are looking for a School Transport Companion (Retén) to ensure the safety and well‑being of children using our school bus service in the Vecindario, Agüimes or Cruce de Arinaga area of Gran Canaria.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children at bus stops and on board, guaranteeing safe boarding and alighting.
• Monitor behaviour during the journey and intervene when necessary.
• Assist the driver with passenger management and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment inside the vehicle.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns to the operations team.

Required profile

• Possession of a valid Category B driving licence.
• Ability to provide a criminal record certificate covering sexual offences.
• Residence in or near Vecindario, Agüimes or Cruce de Arinaga is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role is valued but not mandatory.

What we offer

• Work location: Vecindario, Agüimes or Cruce de Arinaga (Gran Canaria).
• Contract: Fixed‑term, discontinuous (September 2026 – June 2027).
• Part‑time schedule: 12.5 hours per week, split shifts (06:30‑08:00 and 14:00‑15:00, Monday‑Friday).
• Gross salary: €438.10 per month, including extra payments.
