Airlines Transitions Engineer

About the role

The Airlines Transitions Engineer supports aircraft deliveries and re‑deliveries within CAE's Parc Airline Technical Services Department. The role ensures transitions are performed on schedule, comply with airworthiness and lease requirements, and coordinate with a wide range of aviation stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support throughout aircraft transitions, guaranteeing compliance with airworthiness standards and lease agreements.
• Manage project timelines, focusing on maintenance event planning and timely transfer of aircraft title.
• Conduct records‑management activities, reviewing maintenance history, compliance status, and maintaining a discrepancy list.
• Coordinate pre‑transition activities with airlines, lessors, maintenance organisations and regulators to align schedules and resources.
• Act as the central point of contact between airlines, lessors and service providers to ensure smooth transitions.
• Participate in aircraft data import and validation within Maintenance Information Systems.
• Support multiple transition projects simultaneously as assigned by the Fleet Technical Management Leader.

Required profile

• Vocational or technical education in Aerospace, Aeronautics or related field, or 2‑3 years of aviation industry experience.
• Working‑level proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Airbus and Boeing fleets and familiarity with EASA and FAA regulations.
• Strong understanding of aircraft records, maintenance documentation and heavy‑maintenance events.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and in a team, with strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
