Android Engineer – Investments & Savings

About the role

We are looking for a talented Android Engineer to join the Investments & Savings team at N26. You will help build a real‑time trading platform that supports crypto, stocks, ETFs, managed funds and savings products, while ensuring security, compliance and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality Android applications for a fast‑moving fintech environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate product requirements into secure, scalable code.
• Implement responsive, slick and attractive UI using Material Design and Jetpack Compose.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and champion test‑driven development.
• Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience building Android apps in fast‑paced tech or fintech companies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory constraints in banking and financial services.

Required skills

• Android Open Source Platform and Material Design principles.
• Kotlin, including coroutines and Flow for reactive programming.
• Jetpack Compose for UI development.
• Dagger (or other DI frameworks) for dependency injection.
• Model‑View‑ViewModel (MVVM) architectural pattern.
• Test‑Driven Development (unit, integration, BDD).
