Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, an Assistant Department Head level position reporting to the Director of Housekeeping and the Assistant Director of Housekeeping. The role provides operational and management support to the Housekeeping Department and ensures its day-to-day running is smooth for guests and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of Supervisors, Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for cleaning and upkeep of a specific hotel area
• Interview, train and schedule staff, conduct performance evaluations and discipline staff when needed
• Ensure smooth daily operation of Housekeeping and Valet, schedule daily work and monitor each Room Attendant's progress
• Inspect completed rooms, coach employees on deficiencies, and coordinate work orders so they are completed
• Work closely with outsourced staff and internal supervisors to achieve high cleanliness standards
• Liaise with Engineering, outsourced laundry and Front Office
• Oversee stock control, keep par levels and inventory, source new products and suppliers and follow trends

Required profile

• Previous Rooms Division or Housekeeping management experience, preferably in a large five-star hotel
• Able to build strong relationships with people at all levels, including outsourced contractors, suppliers, guests and employees
• Legal right to work in Spain
• Fluency in English and Spanish

The position is full-time and may operate on a rotating shift basis covering morning and evening shifts, including weekends.
