Associate – Fund Finance

About the role

Permira is seeking an Associate to join its Fund Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Fund Finance, you will support the financial control, reporting, and cash management of several private‑equity funds across buyout and growth strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial control and reporting for designated funds and co‑investment schemes.
• Liaise with fund administrators to ensure accurate quarter‑end and year‑end accounting in line with LPA requirements.
• Oversee cash management, including tracking fund and deal cash flows, facility drawdowns, capital calls and distributions.
• Maintain fund models in Anaplan and perform carry waterfall calculations.
• Assist the internal tax team with annual compliance data and ad‑hoc requests.
• Handle compliance and regulatory reporting for private‑equity funds.
• Support the Capital Formation team with finance‑related queries and fund forecasting/modeling.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance background; private‑equity experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, self‑starter attitude and ability to work both independently and within a close‑knit team.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks across various products.
• Fluent English with professional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Anaplan for fund modeling.
