Associate Legal Counsel – Madrid

About the role

DAZN Spain is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join its fast‑growing commercial team in Madrid. Reporting to the VP Legal, Spain, you will act as a true business partner, providing commercially‑focused legal advice and supporting a wide range of commercial activities across the Spanish market.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate sports rights, technology and commercial partnership agreements.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, precedents and internal policies.
• Advise on antitrust, consumer protection, privacy, fair competition and related regulatory matters.
• Handle copyright licensing, IP, IT and media‑related legal issues.
• Monitor telecoms regulation, public authority requirements (e.g., CNMC) and industry trends.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks, escalating when necessary.
• Provide clear, timely legal advice to business teams and build strong cross‑functional relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 3 years of experience in an international law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Experience preferably within media, technology or audiovisual sectors.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently while seeking senior oversight as needed.
