Associate Project/Program Manager

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate Project/Program Manager to support the planning, execution, and supervision of a variety of projects that help improve global eye health. Based in Barcelona, you will work closely with the VP and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, organizing, and controlling activities.
• Conduct regular meetings with project members to track progress and resolve issues.
• Create detailed project plans covering schedule, budget, and resources.
• Support the development and monitoring of project budgets.
• Identify project scope, objectives, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing status updates.
• Participate in project review meetings and contribute input.
• Facilitate project closure, documenting lessons learned.
• Support the VP with calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and meeting coordination.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project or program management, including support for senior leadership.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional, multinational environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English and fluency in the local language.
• Flexible mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
