Audit Senior - IT

About the role

The Audit Senior – IT will lead a team of auditors in planning and executing risk‑based IT audits across the Group. This role ensures that IT risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in line with professional standards, providing assurance that the organization’s objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise audit staff, manage training, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
• Plan audit engagements, develop scope, audit programs, and control self‑assessment documentation.
• Prepare budgets, allocate resources, and schedule audit activities.
• Conduct opening conferences, define scope, roles, and timelines with audit clients.
• Lead reviews of IT processes and systems, evaluating efficiency, effectiveness, and risk management against international standards.
• Analyse audit performance against budget and report findings to the Audit Manager.
• Draft audit reports with recommendations and discuss findings with clients.
• Provide consultancy on change management for new policies, procedures, products, or system developments.
• Participate in system implementation projects to verify control adequacy before production release.
• Represent the audit unit in meetings and committees, and monitor sampling techniques for relevance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IT audit engagements and supervising audit teams.
• Strong understanding of IT risk management, control frameworks, and professional audit standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with audit clients and senior management.
• Ability to develop audit plans, budgets, and detailed work programs.
• Experience providing consultancy on change management and system implementation.
