About the role

The Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús is looking for a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. You will work in a dynamic hospitality environment, ensuring food preparation and kitchen hygiene meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the kitchen in optimal hygiene and order.
• Clean, peel and cut vegetables.
• Mix ingredients for various dishes.
• Pluck poultry and prepare meat.
• Scale and fillet fish.
• Keep kitchen tools and utensils clean.
• Assist in preserving raw materials and kitchen products.

Required profile

• Vocational training: Medium‑level degree in Cooking and Gastronomy and a HACCP (APPCC) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No specific language requirement.
• Knowledge of the hospitality sector is valued.
• Ability to work under stress, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility and quick task execution.

Required skills

• APPCC (HACCP) food‑safety knowledge.
