Backend Engineer - Wallets

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer specialized in wallet infrastructure to help shape the future of decentralized finance. You will build secure, high‑performance backend services that power global digital‑asset solutions and enable seamless user experiences with blockchain technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services for secure and scalable wallet operations.
• Build and optimise high‑throughput microservices handling real‑time transactions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with product and business goals.
• Implement best‑in‑class security practices to protect user assets and system integrity.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, improving reliability, scalability and maintainability.
• Work with databases and distributed systems to ensure efficient data storage and synchronization.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, proactively identifying optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with Node.js and JavaScript backend development.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience building high‑availability platforms and familiarity with peer‑to‑peer or decentralized technologies.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Strong grasp of backend security principles and secure coding practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work effectively in remote, international teams.
