Business Controller

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Business Controller to act as the primary financial liaison between local manufacturing operations and the Center of Excellence. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls while supporting strategic planning and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage sales and backlog data accurately.
• Monitor customer order contract profitability and utilization metrics.
• Align strategic plans with operational and financial drivers, including sales, operations planning, resource management, capital projects, expenses, and working capital.
• Generate, model, and execute action plans to close performance gaps and improve site performance.
• Provide business planning, forecasting, and budgeting support to stakeholders.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks with the CoE and BPO teams.
• Conduct variance analysis and manage internal reporting.
• Support Head Office on financial matters.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in controlling.
• Proven track record in inventory management, cost control, and project management.
• Experience in manufacturing sector preferred.
• Strong communication skills to liaise between local operations, BPO and CoE.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and adapt to challenges.
