CAD Designer – Mechanical CAD Specialist

About the role

Exide Technologies' Motion division is expanding its team in Spain and seeks two CAD Designers to create mechanical and sheet‑metal components for traction batteries used in industrial trucks. The role involves developing accurate 3D models, assemblies and production‑ready drawings, initially based in Barcelona with occasional travel across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor, focusing on sheet‑metal parts and mechanical components.
• Produce precise technical drawings and documentation required for manufacturing and fabrication.
• Maintain and update the bill of materials for each battery design.
• Collaborate with product management, application engineering and production teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
• Support design optimisation, implement changes from prototyping feedback and participate in design reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Autodesk Inventor for mechanical and sheet‑metal design.
• Strong knowledge of drafting, detailing, GD&T and manufacturing requirements.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Technical or engineering degree.
