CEO – Biotech/MedTech Startup (Fundraising & Growth)

About the role

The University of A Coruña’s Advanced Biofabrication for Tissue Engineering group is seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the ORALREGENERIX project, a cutting‑edge initiative focused on in‑clinic oral tissue regeneration using handheld bioprinting technology. The CEO will drive strategic growth, secure financing, and position the venture for commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan aligned with project milestones.
• Secure public and private funding, including venture capital, business angels, grants, and EU programmes (EIC, CDTI, etc.).
• Manage investor relations and lead investment rounds.
• Forge strategic alliances and commercial agreements.
• Coordinate regulatory activities and market‑access strategies for medical‑device compliance.
• Oversee organisational growth, corporate structuring, and day‑to‑day operations.
• Represent the company before investors, partners, and public authorities.
• Support intellectual‑property management and commercialization pathways.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technology or biomedical startups.
• Successful track record in fundraising and investment acquisition.
• Strong negotiation skills with investors and partners.
• Deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, venture‑capital landscape, and technology transfer.
• Experience in regulated environments (medical devices, biotech, digital health).
