Clinical Research Associate II (Home Based, Madrid)

About the role

ICON Strategic Solutions is hiring a Clinical Research Associate II for a home-based position in Madrid. You will work in a sponsor-dedicated model, supported by ICON's global expertise, and contribute to the design and analysis of clinical trials, interpreting complex medical data. The role involves clinical trial monitoring, with about 60% travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to clinical trial monitoring, taking responsibility for your deliverables and working collaboratively.
• Carry out site qualification, initiation, monitoring and close-out visits for clinical trials.
• Ensure protocol compliance, data integrity and patient safety throughout the trial.
• Work with investigators and site staff to ensure smooth study conduct.
• Review data and resolve queries to maintain high-quality clinical data.
• Help prepare and review study documentation, including protocols and clinical study reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 60%).
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, regulations and ICH-GCP guidelines.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
