About the role

The Hotel Barceló Oviedo Cervantes is looking for a motivated Cook to join its kitchen team. You will work under the supervision of the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to the established menu specifications and ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes based on technical sheets from the rotating menu.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and support the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, reheating, and restocking of food items.
• Receive and store food supplies following established procedures.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and legal regulations in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to work in a team, handle stress, and solve unexpected issues.
• Attention to detail and creativity in food preparation.

Required skills

• HACCP (APPCC) knowledge.
