Collections Analyst

About the role

Deckers Brands is looking for a Collections Analyst in Madrid to protect cash flow, reduce overdue debt and deliver an excellent customer financial services experience. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts across Spain and Portugal, driving timely collections, resolving payment disputes and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, working closely with Credit, Sales and Customer Service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment collection and reducing overdue balances.
• Build relationships with customers to resolve payment issues, negotiate solutions and support positive commercial outcomes.
• Identify payment trends and risks, recommending actions that support sound credit and collections decisions.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service and Credit teams to resolve disputes and remove barriers to payment.
• Support the adoption of digital tools and self-service platforms that improve the customer experience and collections efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence and cash performance.

Required profile

• Experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit control or a similar customer-facing finance environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, able to handle challenging conversations professionally.
• Experience working with ERP systems, collections tools or customer account management platforms.
• Experience working across multiple teams and functions to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a valuable additional language.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and collaborative, with strong commercial awareness.
