Combat Program Supply Manager

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Combat Program Supply Manager to lead supply chain activities for its combat programmes in Getafe, Madrid. The role combines bid management, strategic procurement and supplier relationship management to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead bid management for combat programme supply contracts, preparing proposals and negotiation strategies.
• Manage end‑to‑end supply chain for assigned programmes, guaranteeing on‑time delivery, cost efficiency and quality compliance.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans, identifying and onboarding key suppliers.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships through performance monitoring and issue resolution.
• Negotiate favourable terms, conditions and pricing with suppliers.
• Oversee program and project management aspects related to supply chain activities.
• Coordinate transnationally with international stakeholders to optimise global supply chains.
• Communicate clearly with internal departments and external partners on requirements and progress.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks, creating contingency plans as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in bid management, preferably within defence or aerospace.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with proven negotiation skills.
• Experience operating in a transnational management and leadership environment.
• Knowledge of program and project management methodologies, strategic procurement and supplier management.
• German language skills are a plus.
