Commercial & Contracts Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Commercial & Contracts Manager to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of a mega‑infrastructure project in the Philippines. The role covers the full contract lifecycle from award to final account close‑out, ensuring the company’s commercial interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary commercial and contractual liaison with clients, consultants and other external parties.
• Lead commercial meetings, negotiations and contract reviews, providing advice to the Project Director and management team.
• Administer the project contract under FIDIC conditions, handling notices, correspondence and compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Manage claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual entitlements.
• Develop and enforce commercial and contractual management procedures.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, administration and negotiations to secure best value.
• Control interim payment applications, valuations and final account submissions.
• Prepare and present reports on claims, changes and contract status.
• Lead and supervise the commercial, contracts and procurement teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in major civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years in a commercial or contracts management position.
• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience on large international infrastructure projects; joint‑venture experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Understanding of construction law, claims management and dispute resolution.
• Experience with subcontract procurement and commercial risk mitigation.
