Commodity Manager (Temporary Agency)

About the role

An opportunity for a Commodity Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The position is offered through a temporary agency and falls under the Sourcing, Buying and Ordering job family.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the MFT/MDT, with possible delegation to a Buyer
• Serve as the entry point for commodity management (per commodity product or service)
• Establish, implement and improve the commodity strategy
• Implement the procurement policy
• Perform market analysis, including global sourcing and offsets
• Manage sourcing (CFT, RFP, etc.) and contract management
• Monitor and improve supplier performance: lead value-creation projects, sustain long-term supplier relationships and manage risk

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• Proven track record in strategic category management, global sourcing and complex contract negotiation
• Advanced proficiency in data-driven decision-making and analytical tools
• Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management and leadership skills, able to influence at all organisational levels
