Communication Systems Product Manager for Combat Aircraft

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Communication Systems Product Manager to lead the design, development and qualification of communication systems for combat aircraft. The role covers both hardware and software components, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while meeting programme cost and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall design, development and certification of the aircraft communication system, including audio management, radios, tactical and mission datalinks, and SATCOM.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from offer phase to final customer acceptance, coordinating with Chief Engineering, Program Office and customers.
• Control technical decisions, schedule, cost, quality and risk to guarantee on‑time delivery and operational readiness.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Telecommunications or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in avionics or communications.
• Proven experience in technical team and project management.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent English and Spanish at negotiation level, with willingness to travel.
