Construction Manager for Luxury Villa in Barcelona

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on Construction Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of a high‑end luxury villa in Barcelona. You will act as the primary bridge between our remote design and project teams and the daily activities on the construction site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, address safety or quality issues promptly, and ensure work follows approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Head of Construction to execute schedules, allocate resources, and manage material procurement.
• Maintain rigorous quality control to meet the high‑detail standards of luxury residential design.
• Monitor site‑level expenses, identify cost‑effective solutions, and keep the project within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, skilled labor, and on‑site teams, fostering a collaborative workflow.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when required, attend meetings, and contribute to key decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and communicate updates to the wider project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; post‑graduate studies in Construction Management or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction site roles (e.g., Inspector, Site Supervisor, Construction Manager).
• At least three full‑cycle projects completed in Spain, preferably in tourist regions.
• Proven track record in luxury villa or high‑end residential construction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve technical or logistical challenges on past projects.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
