Control & Simulation Engineer – High Voltage Test Facility

About the role

Airbus UpNext is building a state‑of‑the‑art test facility to accelerate aircraft electrification. As a Control & Simulation Engineer you will adapt and validate control software for high‑voltage prototypes and integrate real‑time simulation platforms to ensure safe, reliable testing.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt baseline control software to various real and simulated system‑under‑test configurations, focusing on HV batteries, power converters and distribution systems.
• Develop, compile and integrate adaptation models, real‑time wrappers and interface layers for Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing.
• Host and integrate Airbus real‑time simulation platforms, capture live data vectors and steer test equipment dynamically.
• Design safety interlocks, emergency shutdown strategies and ensure overall test‑facility integrity.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with control software development and validation in high‑voltage environments.
• Ability to work in an agile, fast‑paced team and deliver results within a fixed‑term project.

Required skills

• Control software adaptation and verification.

• Knowledge of high‑voltage electrical systems (batteries, converters, distribution).
