Corporate Legal Specialist

About the role

Based in Madrid, the Corporate Legal Specialist will advise Elawan Energy on corporate legal matters across Spain and international renewable-energy markets. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and managing legal risk for clean-energy assets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and enforce contracts related to renewable-energy projects, including EPC contracts, PPAs and acquisition agreements.
• Handle legal procedures for board and shareholder approvals, prepare shareholder registers and meeting minutes, and file documents with the commercial registry.
• Review and negotiate shareholder agreements and support due-diligence processes for third-party transactions.
• Coordinate legal communications between international and national offices and manage interactions with the Commercial Registry and Notaries.
• Provide legal support for commercial transactions, report operational legal risks, and collaborate with technical, financial and tax teams.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisors and perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or in the renewables sector.
• Law degree; Master’s in Corporate Law, Energy Business, M&A or related field is highly valued.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
