Country General Manager - Spain

About the role

AsstrA is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Country General Manager to lead its business in Spain. The role focuses on business growth, customer development and market expansion, with the first priority being stronger sales activity, new business opportunities and a solid commercial pipeline. It also involves improving local business processes, team performance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the business development strategy for Spain.
• Drive sales growth and new customer acquisition; personally take part in key customer meetings, negotiations and strategic commercial activities.
• Strengthen relationships with existing clients and business partners.
• Build, manage and develop the local team.
• Improve internal processes, cooperation and operational performance.
• Monitor business results, KPIs, profitability and market development.
• Ensure effective cooperation with AsstrA teams in other countries and represent AsstrA on the Spanish logistics market.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport (road transportation).
• Strong commercial background and successful business development experience.
• Experience managing a team, business unit or country organization.
• Understanding of operational processes in logistics and experience managing business results, KPIs and profitability.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
