Customer Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer to join our Valencia team. You will act as the bridge between our operations, business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring the platform runs smoothly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve platform incidents reported by business units, tracing issues from the application layer down to the database.
• Debug Node.js services and write diagnostic queries for MySQL and ClickHouse to pinpoint root causes.
• Translate business impact into clear technical tasks and communicate findings to developers.
• Maintain day‑to‑day technical communication with third‑party partners, handling incidents and integration problems.
• Contribute to runbooks, troubleshooting guides and knowledge‑base documentation.
• Monitor platform health and proactively flag reliability risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in web development or platform operations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Upper‑Intermediate or higher).
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• JavaScript / TypeScript and Node.js.
• MySQL query writing and optimization.
• ClickHouse or other OLAP/analytical databases.
• Understanding of microservice architecture, REST, WebSockets and message queues.
• Grafana, Kibana, Datadog (or similar observability tools).
• Git version control.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Optional but valued: Nest.js, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
