Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Pepper Advantage is expanding its Security Engineering team and seeks a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to design, implement and govern secure cloud‑based solutions for a high‑availability credit technology platform. The role focuses on Azure services and requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review, triage and respond to SOC tickets.
• Manage security toolsets (MS Defender, Arctic Wolf, NEMESIS, Aikido Security, RAPID7, Crowdstrike) and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and development teams to embed evidence‑based security controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the cyber security posture.
• Create Breach and Attack Simulation assessments in NEMESIS based on threat intelligence.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in cyber security operations.
• Strong focus on Azure platform, cloud architecture and security best practices.
• Leadership capability to guide engineers and work with stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging threats.

Required skills

• Security tool knowledge: MS Defender, Arctic Wolf, NEMESIS, Aikido Security, RAPID7, Crowdstrike.
• Threat hunting and detection engineering.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001.
• Scripting/automation skills: Python, PowerShell (desirable).
